iPhone app support
The Brandesk iPhone app goes with your company's Brandesk account: your digital business card and its QR code, scanning paper cards, your contacts and your statistics. A question not answered here? Write to us at hello@brandesk.io.
1. Sign in
The app works with the account your company created for you: there is no sign-up in the app. Your Brandesk admin invites you from the employee list; accept the invitation you receive by email, then:
- Install Brandesk from the App Store (iPhone with iOS 26 or later).
- Tap "Sign in". The Brandesk sign-in page opens in the app.
- Sign in as you do on the web: email and password, a code sent by email, Google, Microsoft or your company's identity provider (SSO).
If your email belongs to several companies, the page asks which one to open.
2. Your card
- My card: your business card, in the design your company chose. Switch between "Card" and "QR code" at the top of the screen. The QR code works offline, at full brightness.
- "Share my card": by Messages, WhatsApp, email, AirDrop or link ("Copy link"). People open your card without installing an app, and can leave you their details with "Exchange my details".
- Several cards: swipe the card to switch from one to the next.
- Apple Wallet: the card's "…" menu, then "Add to Apple Wallet". The pass shows your QR code, on Apple Watch too.
- Widgets: add "My QR code" to the Home Screen or Control Center, and "My card" to the Lock Screen.
3. Scan a business card
- Open the "Scanner" tab and point the camera at the paper card. The first time, tap "Continue", then allow the camera.
- Name, company, job title, email and phone are read on your iPhone. Check the flagged fields, complete them, add a note or a tag.
- If the app asks, tick "I informed this contact about how their data is used", then tap "Save contact".
No card at hand? Tap "Manual entry" to type the contact in. Offline, the contact is saved on your iPhone and sent as soon as you're back online.
4. Contacts and statistics
- Contacts: the people who exchanged their details through your card and the ones you scanned. Search, filters, notes, tags and status (new, to call back, handled).
- Statistics: views of your cards, QR code and NFC scans, shares, cards saved to an address book and new contacts, over 7 or 30 days.
5. Your NFC card
Tap your avatar at the top right, then "My NFC card":
- "Activate a new card": hold the Brandesk NFC card your company gave you near your iPhone. It then opens your digital card on any phone it touches.
- "Check a card": hold a Brandesk NFC card near your iPhone to see the business card it opens.
- "I lost my card": the card is blocked right away. "Request a new card" lets your admin know.
6. Troubleshooting
| Message or situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Your company needs to invite you" | Your email isn't a member of any company on Brandesk. Ask your admin for an invitation, accept it, then try again. |
| "Your account is deactivated" | Your Brandesk admin can reactivate your account. |
| "Sign in with your company's provider" | Your organization requires single sign-on: choose your company's provider on the sign-in page. |
| "Set up two-step verification first" | Sign in once at app.brandesk.io to set it up, then come back to the app. |
| "Camera access is off" | Tap "Open Settings" and turn on the camera for Brandesk. Meanwhile, "Manual entry" lets you type a contact in. |
| A feature shows "Ask my admin" | It isn't part of your company's plan. The button lets your admin know; nothing is sold in the app. |
| "Update Brandesk" | Update the app from the App Store. Your unsent contacts stay on your iPhone and are sent after the update. |
| "Sign in again to continue" | Your session was closed (password changed, session closed by your admin or from another device, a long time without use). Sign in again with the same account: your unsent contacts stay encrypted on your iPhone and are sent afterwards. |
| A contact stays "Not sent" | It is sent automatically when the network is back. Open the app once you're online to speed it up. |
| The widget doesn't show your card | Open the app once while online: the widget picks up your last known card. |
7. Your data
Your employee record and the contacts you save belong to your company, which is the data controller; METEORA, publisher of Brandesk, processes them on its behalf. Paper cards are read on your iPhone; the card photo is kept with the contact only if your company chose to. The app has no ads and no tracking.
To ask for your data to be deleted: avatar › "Request deletion of my data". The request goes to your admin and to Brandesk support. Details are in the privacy policy.
